Within proximity to lakes, rivers, and mountains, Rocklin is a prime location. Rocklin is only 30 minutes from Sacramento and just shy of two hours from the Bay Area, Lake Tahoe, and the Pacific Ocean.

This outdoor shopping mall contains a variety of specialty shops to pick up necessities or presents. Another excellent shop for finding the perfect present is Deer Creek Farm by Compassion Planet. This specialty boutique has a wide array of gifts that anyone would love.
 
Just down the street from Deer Creek Farm is the favorite local brewery Moksa Brewing Company. This brewery has several beer selections available, including IPAs, lagers, and pilsners. They also regularly have an on-site food truck to provide patrons delicious meals. 
 
For a unique theater experience, Rocklin locals enjoy the Studio Movie Grill. This movie theater plays a variety of films, including classics and children’s movies, while serving food and beverages that are brought right to viewers seats.

Rocklin is home to several beautiful parks and recreation areas, including Quarry Park, which features a man-made lake for swimming and boating, a ropes course, and hiking trails. Another popular spot in this quaint little town is Whitney Ranch Park. This expansive public park features a playground and large sports fields. Rocklin also boasts excellent golfing greens at Whitney Oaks Golf Club
 
Those who enjoy natural history will certainly find the Black Chasm Cavern National Natural Landmark a must-see. This cavern features all sorts of natural formations, including stalagmites and stalactites. Staff offer tours and activities for guests to explore and learn about this marvelous cave.
 
Rocklin also has excellent higher education opportunities. Sierra College is a public community college that prepares students to transfer to a four-year university. Another college in Rocklin is William Jessup University, a selective private school.
